From steel fabrication to pool fencing specialist
I’m Andre Turner, founder of DECOPerf — a specialist pool fencing company serving the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Before starting this business, I spent more than 15 years in the steel fabrication industry as a senior sales and operations manager — working business-to-business, building long-term relationships, and developing a deep understanding of how quality products are brought to market. That background shapes everything about how DECOPerf operates today.
How it started
Seeing the opening
It didn’t take long to notice an opportunity. When sales enquiries were passed to local trade partners, those partners weren’t under obligation to Pool Perf — and being a new premium product to the market, it wasn’t always the easiest sell for them. Many customers were being steered toward the more traditional options of glass or standard flat-top fencing instead. Good leads went cold, and a great product wasn’t getting the representation it deserved.
The decision
I brought this to Decoview and proposed a solution: I would become the dedicated, exclusive trade partner for Pool Perf on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Every enquiry in these areas would come directly to DECOPerf, where I built a complete end-to-end service — consultation, site survey, quoting, supply, and installation — all handled under one roof. It worked well for everyone. Decoview had a committed specialist looking after their customers, and DECOPerf had a product worth championing.
Gold Coast pool fencing — where we are today
Over time, DECOPerf grew its product range to include other premium aluminium pool fencing solutions, giving our Gold Coast pool fencing customers more choice while maintaining the same high standard of service. Pool Perf remains a core part of what we offer, and we maintain a close working relationship — and genuine friendship — with the co-founder of the brand to this day.
